Terms of Service

The NJ School Performance Dashboard presents public data published by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) in an interactive format. Browsing the site is free and requires no account. Optional accounts add saved features, and an optional paid Premium tier adds convenience tools such as data tables, downloads, and extra chart views.

By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

All figures shown are drawn from NJDOE public data releases and are presented “as is,” without warranty of any kind. The NJDOE occasionally revises published data, and transformation errors are possible. The NJDOE's own published reports are authoritative; do not rely on this site as the sole basis for enrollment, employment, legal, or financial decisions.

You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in. We may suspend or remove accounts used to abuse the service (including automated scraping through authenticated endpoints, attempts to circumvent access controls, or activity that degrades the service for others). You may delete your account at any time by contacting us (see below).

Premium subscriptions are billed by Stripe annually at the price shown on the Premium page at the time of purchase. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal; no refunds will be issued but access will continue through the end of the paid year, and no further charges are made. Prices may change with notice — an active subscription keeps its price until canceled.

One-time contributions include a fixed period of Premium access. Thank you for your support. They are not subscriptions and will not renew. Contributions are non-refundable; if something went wrong with a payment, contact us and we will try to make it right.

You agree not to:

• disrupt or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• attempt to access other users' accounts or data;
• misrepresent this site as an official NJDOE or government resource.

The underlying school data is public information; you are welcome to use figures from the site with attribution.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim (for the vast majority of users, who use the site for free, that amount is $0).

We may modify or discontinue features (or the service) at any time. Payments — whether a Premium subscription or a one-time contribution — are treated as support for the project's mission of making this data more accessible, not as payment for a guaranteed duration of access. No refund or prorated amount will be issued for any unused period if Premium or the service is discontinued. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the effective date above.
